Facilities Maintenance Manager
True Harmony Company is looking for a dedicated and motivated Facilities Maintenance Manager to join our team in Ely, Nevada.
About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead all maintenance operations across our large-scale cannabis facilities, greenhouse, farm, and onsite housing in Ely, Nevada. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for protecting the reliability, safety, and performance of critical systems. You’ll set maintenance strategies, manage budgets and capital planning, and lead a facilities team - ensuring our infrastructure, equipment, and environmental controls operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance every day.

Location & Hours:
This is an on-site position at our Ely, Nevada location at 30955 N. Alt, US-93, Ely, NV 89301 (Near intersection of US Rt 93 & US Alt Route 93).
On-call availability for occasional emergencies/weekend repairs may be required.
Core Duties & Responsibilities
Facility Maintenance Management:
Develop preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all greenhouse systems.
Oversee maintenance of HVAC, irrigation, lighting, and climate control systems to maintain optimal growing conditions.
Ensure compliance with all state and federal cannabis facility regulations regarding maintenance, safety, and environmental standards.
Manager and maintain facility cleanliness, trash pick-up, and green-waste collection, and ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs with internal teams and external vendors.
Ensure emergency preparedness, including power backup systems, fire safety, and security infrastructure.
Monitor greenhouse automation systems and recommend improvements to optimize efficiency.
Ensure all compliance logs and maintenance records are properly documented and updated.
Maintain non-greenhouse site equipment and infrastructure, including the boiler house, propane tanks, waste removal systems, water pumps, forklifts, skid steers, and scissor lifts.
Manage onsite housing maintenance and surrounding structures.
Team Management:
Directly manage the Facilities Maintenance team, including performance management, coaching, scheduling oversight, disciplinary actions, and input on hiring, promotions, and terminations in partnership with HR.
Set performance expectations, goals, and accountability standards for the maintenance department and ensure alignment with operational priorities.
Lead succession planning and professional development for maintenance team members to support long-term operational stability.
Job Requirements:
Minimum: High school diploma or GED. Associate's or bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
6+ years of experience with increasing responsibility in facilities maintenance, preferably in a controlled environment agriculture (CEA) or cannabis greenhouse.
2+ years of facilities maintenance management experience
Knowledge of greenhouse operations (climate control, hydroponic systems, HVAC, irrigation, etc.) is highly preferred.
Ability to obtain a Nevada Forklift Certification
OSHA 30, or other relevant certifications, preferred.
Must be able to pass a background check and obtain any required cannabis industry credentials (CCB/Agent Card).
Ability to provide on-call support during weekends in response to maintenance breakdowns or repair emergencies
Skills & Core Competencies:
Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose issues and develop quick, effective solutions.
Compliance & Safety: Knowledge of OSHA standards, fire safety, familiar with local/state codes and cannabis facility regulations.
Project Management: Ability to plan and oversee maintenance projects efficiently.
Team Leadership: Leadership and team-building skills to manage a maintenance crew.
Adaptability: Ability to troubleshoot unexpected issues and work in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements/Environmental Factors:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders for extended periods.
Exposure to high-humidity, high-heat environments within the greenhouse.
Work may involve dust, pollen, and potential allergens
Ability to work across multiple departments when needed
