About the Role
The Integrated Pest Management Lead will play a crucial role in supervising and implementing effective pest management strategies within our automated greenhouse environment. This position requires a deep understanding of pest biology, beneficial organisms, and environmentally sustainable pest control methods. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring plant health, identifying pest threats, and assisting in the development and exexution of IPM plans that align with our commitment to quality products.

Location: This is an on-site position at our main location one hour north of Ely, Nevada.
Schedule: This is a full-time position. Shifts are 7 am - 3:30 pm, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, Wednesday (or alternate weekdays; weekends are required for this role).
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform daily scouting to monitor pest and disease activity throughout the facility.
- Assist with the application of pesticides, beneficial insects, or other IPM techniques as directed.
- Maintain accurate logs of pest sightings, treatments, and environmental data.
- Support the implementation of weekly/monthly IPM schedules.
- Communicate findings clearly to the Cultivation Manager and recommend appropriate next steps.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of IPM storage areas and tools.
- Help train cultivation staff on basic pest/disease identification and prevention practices.
- Assist in developing and maintaining SOPs, checklists, and visual guides.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with applicable regulations and safety protocols.
- Participate in research and evaluation of new products or techniques under direction.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent; coursework or experience in agriculture, horticulture, or plant sciences preferred.
- 1+ year of experience in cannabis cultivation or greenhouse pest control.
- Familiarity with scouting and data collection techniques.
- Current pesticide applicator certificate or ability to obtain one.
- Knowledge of pest life cycles, beneficial organisms, and organic treatment options.
- Comfortable working in a greenhouse environment in varying temperatures.
- Strong attention to detail and observation skills.
- Basic understanding of IPM and sustainable pest management practices.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Willingness to learn and follow compliance standards.
- Comfortable working independently and with a team.
- Good recordkeeping and organizational skills.
.Physical Requirements & Environmental Factors:
- Lifting: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
- Standing/Walking: Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, often in a greenhouse environment.
- Repetitive Motion: Frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching to handle plants and equipment.
- Manual Dexterity: Proficient hand-eye coordination for tasks such as cloning, trellising, and transplanting
- Work Environment: Ability to work in varying temperatures and humidity levels typical of greenhouse environments.
- Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
