True Harmony Company is seeking an experienced Cultivation Manager to join our team at our state-of-the-art cannabis facility in Ely, Nevada.

About the Role: 
The Cultivation Manager will play a central role in ensuring our plants are grown disease- and pest-free and support our Director of Greenhouse Operations in production operations for our 250K+ square foot Certhon glasshouse. The Cultivation Manager will manage our cultivation team and play a crucial role in ensuring the successful cultivation of plants and optimizing production efficiency while maintaining quality and compliance standards. 

About You: We are seeking a Cultivation Manager who is a professional cultivation expert with experience leading cultivation, growing at scale, and developing and leading team training, with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience owning and managing all aspects of cultivation to ensure optimal yields, successful team management, and plant health is a must-have.

Location & Hours:

  • This is an on-site position at our Ely, Nevada location at 30955 N. Alt, US-93, Ely, NV 89301 (Near intersection of US Rt 93 & US Alt Route 93). 
  • Typical Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.– 3:30 p.m.

Core Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee Priva climate-control systems and multi-acre hydroponic cannabis cultivation to ensure optimal plant health and yield.
  • Lead daily cultivation operations including fertigation, IPM, pruning, and harvest activities.
  • Maintain clean, compliant, and efficient grow environments aligned with company SOPs and safety standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Greenhouse and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Uphold regulatory compliance, accurate data tracking, and high-quality standards across all stages of growth.
  • Perform other cultivation-related duties as assigned.

Breeding & Genetics

  • Select and develop high-quality genetics aligned with business and market needs.
  • Plan and manage breeding projects that deliver high-yield, pest- and disease-resistant varieties.
  • Oversee mother plant and cloning programs to support continuous production cycles.

Fertigation

  • Set environmental strategies and nutrient programs using the Priva system.
  • Develop and implement SOPs for nutrient applications and ensure consistency across cultivation cycles.

Grow Planning

  • Design and refine production schedules for each grow cycle to maximize efficiency and yield.
  • Record, analyze, and optimize Priva system data to improve future grow performance.

Plant Cultivation

  • Manage all plant growth phases including irrigation, seeding, transplanting, topping, and cloning.
  • Ensure optimal environmental, lighting, and nutrient conditions for each stage of development.
  • Supervise and coach team members to achieve quality, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.

Plant Movement

  • Coordinate with Greenhouse Operations to plan plant movements and production schedules.
  • Manage sowing schedules, pot density, and team training on topping, trellising, and other plant-care activities.
  • Direct transitions into flowering stages and monitor progress throughout the cycle.

Systems & Climate Calibration (Priva)

  • Fine-tune Priva settings to maintain ideal environmental conditions.
  • Calibrate systems for temperature, humidity, lighting, and nutrient delivery to support optimal growth.
  • Document and refine operational SOPs to support long-term efficiency.

Integrated Pest Management (IPM)

  • Implement and maintain proactive IPM strategies to prevent pest and disease issues.
  • Diagnose and address plant health concerns with minimal crop disruption.
  • Ensure pesticide and fertilizer applications meet state requirements and all applicators are properly certified.

Quality Control & Compliance

  • Maintain audit-ready cultivation operations aligned with state cannabis regulations.
  • Proactively identify risks to prevent crop loss and ensure product quality and consistency.

Team Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing cultivation team.
  • Oversee daily operations, schedules, and performance to ensure productivity and collaboration.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and training initiatives while fostering a culture of accountability and growth

Other Responsibilities

  • Assess cultivation needs and coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Identify and implement innovations to improve efficiency, yields, and sustainability.
  • Lead research and development efforts for new genetics, techniques, or technology advancements.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree in Botany, Biology, Agriculture, Horticulture, or relevant field desired. 
  • 3+ years of experience managing a cultivation team. 
  • 5+years of proven experience as a cannabis grower, preferably on a large-scale greenhouse (50k+ square feet).  
  • Knowledge of IPM, plant diseases, pests, harmful yeasts, molds, nutrient deficiencies, and management techniques. 
  • Advanced knowledge of the cannabis plant and genetics, growth cycle and requirements. 
  • Thorough knowledge of indoor/greenhouse growing, plant cycles, planting preparation, transplanting, cultivation, and labor management.   
  • Familiarity with environmental protection practices.  
  • Willingness to continue learning about horticulture and cannabis farming and stay on top of current and future trends.  
  • Experience creating and implementing SOP’s and leading staff training. 
  • Strong understanding of cannabis compliance regulations. 
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team. 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to pass a background check and obtain an Agent Card. 
Physical Requirements/Environmental Factors
  • Lifting: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. 
  • Standing/Walking: Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, often in a greenhouse environment. 
  • Repetitive Motion: Frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching to handle equipment. 
  • Manual Dexterity: Proficient hand-eye coordination for tasks such as cloning, trellising, and transplanting. 
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in varying temperatures and humidity levels typical of greenhouse environments. 
  • Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
